The First Session of the 1st Congress of the Phuoc Binh Ward Farmers’ Association (Term 2025 – 2030)

Overview of the first working session

On the morning of October 24, 2025, at the Phuoc Binh Ward Convention Hall, the First Session of the 1st Congress of the Phuoc Binh Ward Farmers’ Association (Term 2025 – 2030) was solemnly held, with the participation of 108 official delegates representing farmers from all quarters of the ward.

During the session, the Congress elected the Presidium, consisting of five members:

• Ha Tan Tan – Standing Member of the Ward Party Committee, Chairman of the Ward Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee;

• Nguyen Huy Thang – Party Committee Member, Standing Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee, and Chairman of the Ward Farmers’ Association;

• Truong Viet Phu – Vice Chairman of the Ward Farmers’ Association;

• Nguyen Van Ngan – Officer of the Ward Fatherland Front Committee;

• Duong Thi Nam Hong – Head of the Farmers’ Association of Quarter 5.

The Congress also elected the Secretariat (two members) and the Delegates’ Credentials Verification Committee (three members).

At the session, local farmers’ branches presented three discussion papers, including:

• Building a Strong Farmers’ Association (by the Phuoc Vinh and Phu Chau branches);

• Developing and Managing Membership Movements (by the Binh Dien branch).

In the spirit of solidarity and consensus, the Congress adopted the Program, Rules, and Working Regulations of the Congress, as well as the Report on Delegate Credentials Verification.

The Second Session (official session) of the Congress is scheduled to take place at 2:00 p.m. on October 24, 2025.
