On the afternoon of October 24, 2025, the 1st Congress of the Phuoc Binh Ward Farmers’ Association, Term 2025–2030, was officially held at the Phuoc Binh Ward Conference Center.
Attending the Congress were:
Nguyen Van Giang – Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Farmers’ Association;
Huynh Thi Thuy Trang – Provincial Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Phuoc Binh Ward Party Committee;
Ha Tan Tan – Standing Committee Member of the Ward Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Ward;
Nguyen Thi Hong Que – Standing Committee Member of the Ward Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Ward People’s Council;
Nguyen Thanh Son – Standing Committee Member of the Ward Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Ward People’s Committee;
Former leaders of the town over various periods;
Representatives of Bu Gia Map and Dak O Border Guard Stations;
Representatives from Phuoc Long Ward, along with leaders of local agencies and organizations;
and 108 official delegates representing 1,999 members of the Phuoc Binh Ward Farmers’ Association.
During the 2023–2025 period, the Farmers’ Association of Phuoc Binh Ward achieved many remarkable results. The Association admitted 350 new members, bringing the total to 1,999 members, and successfully established 55 grassroots branches and 6 agricultural cooperatives. It also organized 36 training conferences for more than 2,450 farmer participants, with over 600 farming households applying digital technologies in production such as electronic farming logs, QR code traceability, and automated irrigation systems.
In addition, the Association mobilized resources to build 4 charity houses worth a total of 230 million VND, and distributed 1,324 gifts valued at over 600 million VND to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged households. Farmers were also encouraged to actively participate in the National Target Program on New Rural Development and Civilized Urban Living, contributing to the construction and repair of 39 km of rural roads and donating more than 3,000 m² of land, equivalent to over 8 billion VND, for public infrastructure.
Since 2023, the Association has provided over 4.3 billion VND from the Farmers’ Support Fund to 105 households through 16 projects, creating jobs for 140 workers. It also cooperated with the Social Policy Bank to manage 16 savings and loan groups, with a total outstanding balance of 44.754 billion VND benefiting 694 households. Upholding the spirit of “mutual support and solidarity,” well-off members helped poorer households improve their livelihoods, contributing over 1.032 billion VND in cash, 2,580 seedlings, and 516 working days to assist 86 disadvantaged families.
Thanks to these achievements, during the 2023–2025 period:
4 outstanding farmers were nominated for Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister;
2 collectives and 2 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Central Farmers’ Association;
25 officers and members were awarded the “For the Vietnamese Peasantry” Commemorative Medal;
88 individuals and 58 collectives were honored by the People’s Committee and Farmers’ Associations at various levels.
With the motto “Solidarity – Innovation – Creativity – Cooperation – Development,” the Congress adopted 14 specific targets and goals, demonstrating strong determination to continue promoting achievements, successfully fulfill the objectives of the new term, enhance organizational quality, and strengthen collective power—steadily building a robust Farmers’ Association ready to move forward with the nation into a new era.
In her speech at the Congress, Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Trang, Provincial Party Committee Member and Secretary of the Phuoc Binh Ward Party Committee, commended and praised the remarkable achievements of the Phuoc Binh Ward Farmers’ Association in recent years.
She emphasized that the Association should continue to innovate its content and improve the quality of its activities with greater creativity and practicality. Each member, she noted, should be equipped with digital skills, capable of mastering e-commerce platforms and online communication tools. The Secretary also encouraged the formation of new-style cooperatives and stronger partnerships between enterprises, scientists, and managers to promote sustainable agricultural production and business values, while developing OCOP (One Commune, One Product) initiatives.
Ms. Trang called for building a united, compassionate, and responsible collective of farmers, contributing to the realization of Phuoc Binh Ward’s goal of becoming a civilized, prosperous, modern, and happy urban service and commercial center.
The Congress also announced the official personnel decisions of the 1st Executive Committee of the Phuoc Binh Ward Farmers’ Association, Term 2025–2030, consisting of 31 members, including a Standing Committee of 7 members.
Mr. Nguyen Huy Thang, Party Committee Member and Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, was appointed Chairman of the Phuoc Binh Ward Farmers’ Association, Term 2025–2030.
In addition, the Congress elected a delegation of 4 members (3 official and 1 alternate) to attend the 1st Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Farmers’ Association, Term 2025–2030.
